Bret Budenbender

Bret Budenbender is a Partner and Co-Founder of Foundation Infrastructure Partners.  Mr. Budenbender focuses on sourcing, executing and investing in value-added diversified infrastructure assets. Prior to starting Foundation Infrastructure, Mr. Budenbender served as a Partner at Highstar Capital and Co-Portfolio Manager of Infrastructure Investments at Oaktree Capital.  During his time at Highstar and Oaktree, he served in a variety of leadership and origination capacities including on the Highstar Capital Executive and Investment Committees and the Oaktree Senior Leadership Council.  Mr. Budenbender joined Highstar Capital as a Partner in 2012 from Barclays Capital (formerly Lehman Brothers), where he served as a Managing Director in the Global Power and Infrastructure Group and advised on over $85 billion in M&A and critical financing transactions for the power, midstream and infrastructure sectors.  He has served on numerous corporate boards, including Patriot Utility Privatization; Linden Cogeneration (Lead Director); Advanced Disposal (Lead Director - NYSE:ADSW); NGL Energy (Board Observer - NYSE: NGL); and BlackBear Midstream.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
